Our recent project at the Old Harry Rocks Bar & Restaurant, located within The Nici Hotel in Bournemouth, showcases our ability to manage complex hospitality fit-outs from design to completion while addressing our client’s unique requirements.
Comprehensive Mechanical Design
We began this project with a full mechanical design package. To ensure the system would be reliable, efficient, and capable of handling the heavy demand of a busy restaurant and bar, we detailed everything from pipe routes and pipe sizing to plant room specifications.

Bespoke Plant Room Installation
To meet the hot water and heating requirements, we constructed a new plant room that included:
- Two 300-litre hot water storage tanks
- Expansion vessels for system stability
- Commercial gas distribution for the fireplaces and outdoor pizza oven
Although the boiler itself was residential in scale, the project required the expertise of a
commercial heating engineer to design and certify the
gas installation for commercial usage.
Full Hospitality Fit-Out
Our team completed the full plumbing and mechanical fit-out for the venue, including:
- Commercial kitchen installation - designed for high-volume, efficient operation
- Bar area systems - durable and easy to maintain
- Customer washrooms - men’s and women’s toilets fitted to a premium standard
